This also seems to correspond relatively closely with the percentage Mr. If true, this would mean the One Piece manga could end around the year 2026. This means, taking this literally using Eiichiro Oda’s guesswork, One Piece could last 29 years in total. ONE PIECE AUTHOR SERIESI’m not going to be able to make another long series after One Piece.” It’s a race against time between my remaining lifespan and the end of the series ( laughs). I need the courage to chip away at the ideas I come up with. “ Interviewer: Four years ago, you said, “I’ve been saying that we’ve reached the half point since two years ago. It also reveals the current status of the timespan for the complete One Piece manga, which has already stirred much debate in the One Piece community.Įxactly one year ago today, we published excerpts from an interview with Eiichiro Oda’s current editor, Suguru Sugita, where he guessed that One Piece was approximately 70% through its run.Īuthor Eiichiro Oda has now revealed to the One Piece newspaper that the series is approximately 65% of the way through its enormous run: ONE PIECE AUTHOR MOVIEIn the end, I will say that if you are a fan of one-piece and are looking for more content, then this is some more in form of good fanfic. The official One Piece newspaper, released to celebrate this weekend’s release of the movie One Piece: Film Gold, includes an interview with Eiichiro Oda where he discusses questions about his health and sleep schedule, and also includes a look at his current work space. Again not an excuse not to read the novel, it is just my personal opinion. But if I had to find out any complaint then it would be that the pace of the novel can be a bit baster sometimes (i am talking about the time skips XD). And this is not an excuse that should may anyone not read the novel.Įxecution- 3.5/5- The ideas behind the novel are greatly executed. But that is my personal opinion and I doubt will affect any readers experience of the novel. Story - 3.8/5- I personally think there is a couple of things especially in volume 3 that could have been a bit different as seemed a bit forced/rushed. Worldbuilding (since is one-piece fanfic) - 5/5Ĭhapter development- 4/5- proper development of not just MC but also the supporting characters. The start of the story is mostly based on cannon but after around half war volume 2 it deviates slightly off cannon as a result of actions performed by the MC (which have their bases and has not been pulled out of his ass by the author). The story is smooth and had no big plotholes. No system, no cheats, no big ass plot armour. The novel is one of the best one-piece fanfic out there. This review is a medium for people who are still unsatisfied with the synopsis and are deciding whether to read the novel or not. Up to Volume 2 Chapter 23, I would recommend this to One Piece lovers to have a read. I am not saying they are bad but this book takes a different approach, takes you on a journey with the main character as he grows, learns and hopefully change the world around him. I started reading fanfic's to see other takes on the story and I must say a lot of them are too Isekai's with an amazing set up from the get-go. I am very happy to write a review about this book. I cant wait to see the story tell of its own secrets in the one-piece universe, There is no way to predict what is happening and more so has taken a totally different approach to any other fanfic I have seen. V4C6: I never thought I would be saying this about a fanfic but this is turning out to be a very original story in itself. V4C20 I LOVE IT! I can feel that the end is coming soon! But it has been one hell of a journey.
